Webinar with a leading expert in mathematical automation systems, Professor Chris Sanguine of the University of Edinburgh.
On October 31, an online meeting with Chris Sanguine, a leading expert in the field of mathematical automation systems, was held. During the event, he presented detailed information about the STACK assessment system, which is used to automate learning in math courses.
Chris explained how the integration of the STACK system allows you to create mathematical tasks with automatic checking, which significantly increases the efficiency of teaching and student assessment in disciplines where accuracy and structured solutions are important, using the example of the Automath project.
The meeting was attended by representatives of partner universities from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Norway, and Sweden. Lecturers of the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Probability Theory Kateryna Moskvychova, Olha Pelekhata, and Semen Bodnarchuk had the opportunity to ask questions about setting up the STACK system and adapting it to the needs of the Insurance and Financial Mathematics program of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education.
As education faces severe challenges in wartime, this meeting opens up new opportunities for creating educational content in mathematical disciplines to ensure distance learning at the European level, in particular through the introduction of innovative automated assessment tools.
