Cooperation of Faculty of Physics and Mathematics and Polytechnic Lyceum NTUU "KPI", which is carried out since 2005, gives high results. Within the scientific and experimental work senior lyceum students carry out researches at the Laboratory of cryogenic technology, which are presented at the county, city, national and even international student conferences and competitions. The last four years have brought significant achievements in this work.
Thus, in 2009 the lyceum student Spinul Constantine has taken the forth place and received a diploma at Kolmohorov readings in Moscow (supervisors - Peklun V.F., Kozlenko O.V. from Faculty of Physics and Mathematics and Suvorova T.A. from Polytechnic Lyceum). In 2010 the lyceum students Spinul Constantine and Zayets Sophia have won the first place at the Kiev city competition of Minor Academy of Sciences and Revutska Lyubov has won the third place at the National stage of the Minor Academy of Sciences competition with work "Tests of thermoelectric device - thermoblock". Supervisors of this work are leading engineer of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics Kozlenko O.V. and the Head of Physics Department of the Polytechnic Lyceum Suvorova T.A.
In the 2010-2011 academic year at the Kiev city competition of Minor Academy of Sciences lyceum students Semyroz Catherine, Mikhailovsky Vladimir, Spinul Constantine and Prylipuhov Eugene have won the first place, and Markova Valentina and Litvinov Nikita have taken the third place. Their research supervisors are teachers of Faculty of Physics and Mathematics Lysenko Mikhail G., Kozlenko Oleg V. and Gavrilyuk Viktor V. The lyceum student Semyroz Catherine with the work "Improvement of thermo-insulation properties of masonry" has won the third place at the National Competition stage of the Minor Academy of Sciences and received diploma of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Presidium. The work of her supervisor Kozlenko Oleg V. has been awarded with the same diploma.
Among the outstanding achievements which worth mentioning is the second place at the Intel Techno-Ukraine competition, which is taken by the lyceum student Mikhailovsky Vladimir with the work "Definition of the fan rotating speed using sound waves" (supervisor - Associate Professor of General Physics and Solid State Physics Chair of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics NTUU "KPI" Lysenko Mikhail G., who has been awarded with the diploma of the Minor Academy of Sciences Presidium).
Environmental projects of lyceum students accomplished at the Laboratory of cryogenic technology should be also mentioned: the project "Fighting forest fires using liquid nitrogen" made by Golenko Paul and the project "Ecological methods of gasoline transportation" made by Zayets Sophia. The both projects are executed under supervision of Lysenko M.G., Kozlenko O.V. and Suvorova T.A.
In the 2011-2012 academic year lyceum students have won the first place in the regional competition in ecology with the following projects: the 8th grade student Chislov Alexander with the work "Methods of oil stains removal from the water surface using liquid nitrogen", 11th grade student Semyroz Catherine with the project "Adding paraffin to brickwork". The 11th grade lyceum student Markova Valentina has taken the third place with the project "Express analysis of water quality using laser."
